That Felt Good uses a radical new technique that unites the ancient craft of felting with digital technology. Collaborating with artists and designers we produce limited edition textile artworks that we sell directly, or through our retail partners. There is absolutely nothing like it.

Developed by Adam Blencowe while doing Design Products at the Royal College of Art, it uses a hacked jigsaw attached to a CNC machine programmed with the design. This allows the creator unprecedented control over the felted wool, producing rich textural surface patterns and revealing contrasts between differing fibres.

Naturally our aim is to make our business sustainably focused. Where possible we use reconstituted wool yarn from the fashion industry and are developing relationships with UK wool producers.

Special projects have included exploring the use of redundant faulty cloth from Bute Fabrics, and research into the extraordinary properties of yak fibre with House of Tengri.  Our needle-punched felting has already found a niche with fashion designers.

We are sure That Felt Good has a future of wide-ranging and exciting applications, and we have the imagination to create them.
